Email & communication

Ensuring deliverability

So your mail does not end up in spam

What this is about

When invoices end up in spam, it costs real money. Three DNS records decide whether your mail is treated as genuine: SPF, DKIM and DMARC. We set them correctly and monitor them.

What is included

  • SPF: who may send in your name
  • DKIM: a digital signature on every message
  • DMARC: instructions to recipients, plus reports
  • Checking every sending route, including from applications
  • Monitoring against silent changes

Process

How we go about it.

Record

Which systems send in your name?

Set up

Publish the records and activate signing.

Observe

Evaluate reports and clarify outliers.

Tighten

Only once everything is clean: set the policy to quarantine.

Frequent questions

This is what we are often asked.

What does DMARC at p=none mean?

Observing without consequences. Only when the reports are clean do you switch to quarantine or reject; otherwise you block yourself.

How do you recognise a problem?

From bounces, from customers who receive nothing, and from the DMARC reports.

Does this affect newsletters too?

Especially them. Sending services must be explicitly authorised and sign their messages.

Sollen wir uns das ansehen?

Ein kurzes Gespräch genügt, um einzuschätzen, was in Ihrem Betrieb sinnvoll ist — und was nicht.
